Commendation from John L. Kirkwood, President and CEO, American Lung Association, for Dey's extraordinary contribution to ALA's "Blow the Whistle on Asthma" Walk.
Napa, CA, October 2, 2003 - Every year the American Lung Association (ALA) hosts local fundraising
"Blow the Whistle on Asthma" walks across the country to fund asthma
education and advocacy programs as well as research into better treatments
and a cure for asthma and other lung diseases. In 2002, Dey and its
employees raised $71,500 for the local Redwood Empire Chapter of the ALA
(Santa Rosa), making that local walk the most successful in the country.
DEY is preparing for the upcoming ALA walk in October and on its way to top
last year's goal.
