Dey, L.P., Names Al Erario as New Vice President of Quality Systems
Napa, CA, December 12, 2002 - Napa, CA, December 1, 2002 – Dey, L.P., a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on prescription drug products for the treatment of selected respiratory diseases and allergies, has appointed Al Erario as Vice President of Quality Systems. Mr. Erario, who previously worked at Allergan, Inc as the Director for Quality Assurance/Control, is the first person to hold this newly-created position within Dey and will have responsibility for Quality Assurance, Microbiology, Validation, QC Chemistry and QC In Process Testing, and will report directly to the President and CEO.

In his role as Director of Quality Assurance/Control at Allergan, Inc, Mr. Erario was responsible for all quality assurance and regulatory compliance functions for Allergan’s US manufacturing operation, located in Waco, TX. Prior to Allergan, Mr. Erario worked for 15 years with Paco Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. where he was Corporate Director, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. In this capacity he had corporate responsibility for quality assurance/control and regulatory affairs for all seven of Paco’s contract manufacturing and packaging facilities.
Erario holds a B.S. degree from Monmouth College.
